The Brief
Working with an existing client on a Grade II listed Arts & Crafts house in Chiswick to make a contemporary home whilst repairing many original features and preserving the character of the property.
The Challenge
Grade II listed properties often present challenges when it comes to modernising them. We needed to retain the original covings and cornices, plaster and flooring together with many other original features all whilst rewiring and plumbing throughout. The house had not been touched in some time and there were some ill-considered alterations that needed to be addressed to do the house justice.
The Result
Working with the client and their chosen designers we created a slick contemporary home with all the character of an older property.
